August 26, 2010 August Tournament of ChampionsAnyone who wins a tournament during the month of August is invited to a Monthly Final Tournament on Thursday, September 9 at 7:00 at PJ's. The winner will receive entry into the Yearly Finals and the chance to compete for entry into the 2011 WSOP Main Event! This will be our first entry awarded.
This tournament is an even-stack tournament. Everyone will play with their initial 10k stack and blinds will be much slower.
Win any tournament in September and play for the same thing in October!

August 24, 2010 Even Stack Super Event Badger Poker needs help promoting its events and its new Main Event Prize. Post your status on facebook when you go to our events or bring in a new player who becomes a regular or find some other unique way to promote the league.

August 18, 2010 Session 34 Info Session 34 is upon us. We have some major enhancements to the league coming up. Here they are.
1. Qualify to win entry into the 2011 WSOP Main Event! This is a $10k buy-in and the most prestigious poker event in existence. Qualify by winning an "in-house final tournament" at any location then go on to play a yearly EVEN STACK tournament with the other in-house winners. Winner of this tournament gets entered into the WSOP Main Event!
2. Each location has an in-house leaderboard. Go to the full leaderboard and filter to the in-house one by choosing your location and day of the week. Anyone with points at a given location qualifies for its "in-house final tournament." The more points you have the bigger your starting stack. Details soon.
3. New point sytem. Top 1/3 of every field receives points. Point totals based on size of field to reward those who go deep in large tournaments. Use the following equation to determine points earned. Square Root of (10*((Field Size-3*Rank+1)/Rank)). Point chart to be posted soon.
4. Monthly ToCs and Quaterly Finals will also award entry into the yearly tournament beginning with Session 34 tournaments. Other tournaments may award entry in the future.
5. Second chance will use the same point system and will play with however many players are interested.
6. Wins will be worth significantly more than second place finishes due to new point system. Wins will not be worth bonus chips at finals, but will instead move players up significantly in ranking. Extra levels will be added for bonus chips at the quarterly finals.
7. Seating will be standardized to in front of the cup holder at each table. This is to avoid knocking down other players' drinks and avoid confusion as to whose cupholder is whose.
8. Drink chips are standardized to a "dollar for dollar" deal at all locations in recognition of each bar's sponsorship of an in-house league.
9. "Last-man" is your choice "5 for 5" or 15 for 10."
11. Badger Poker reserves the right to adjust all of its rules and policies at any time without notice in the best interest of its tournaments.

August 8, 2010 Finals Info Session 33 Finals are Saturday, August 14th at Master Z's Cue Club. Tourney starts at 2:00. Check-in is 1:00-1:30. Do not be late!
Last few days to pick up points and wins for bonus chips or earn your last minute entry! If you're low on points just score a win this week and you're in.
Otherwise, top 120 qualify. The higher in the rankings and the more wins you have, the more chips you start with to win your share of over $1500 in cash and prizes!

August 4, 2010 July Tournament of Champions Anyone who wins a tournament during the month of July is invited to a Monthly Final Tournament on Saturday, August 7 at 3:00 at Master Z's Cue Club. The winner of this tournament will receive a 3 day/2 night stay at the Riviera in Las Vegas OR an Xbox 360 (winner's choice)!
The hotel stay is good any day of the week (major holidays excluded). It includes taxes, some free slots play, and some discounts on meals/shows. A 2 for 1 airfare deal is included. You pay your way and whomever you bring rides free.

August 2, 2010 Center Court off for a couple weeks Center Court's tournament will be off for a couple of weeks. Coach House is still on for Sundays in the mean time. When we get back to Center Court on the 22nd we'll have a big event.
